If you have a ceiling fan then chances are you haven’t cleaned it in a while and you are postponing doing it.
Of course, I don’t blame you since this cleaning chore is not easy and it is quite boring. Unfortunately, if you haven’t cleaned your ceiling fan in a long time then it is covered in dirt and dust – something that you need to fix immediately.
After all, everyone wants to have a clean and organized home, and the only way to achieve that is to pay attention to even the smallest details. If you deep clean your home every week leaving small things like your ceiling fan untouched then your home will never truly be cleaned.
What is the easiest way?
Now, it is time for me to actually tell you what is the easiest and fastest way to clean your ceiling fan. The secret is using pillowcases. Yes, that is all you need in order to reach your fan and get rid of the dirt and dust.
Grab a pillowcase and slide it over each fan blade and press it with your fingers.
Then pull the pillowcase in your direction while dragging it across the blade… And that is it! Now you need to repeat this on every fan blade and you are done.
The thing that I love about this cleaning hack is that all of the dust gets trapped inside the pillowcase which means that it doesn’t fall on the floor. This is extremely helpful if you have a carpet right under where your ceiling fan is because we all know how hard it is to clean a carpet covered in dust.
