When you have laminate floors in your home you need to know exactly how to clean them in order to make them last a long time. Maintenance and taking proper care of them will ensure them with a long lifespan.
Should you clean laminate floors on a daily basis?
Yes! I know this was the last thing you wanted to hear but it is true. This will remove the dirt which eventually starts scratching the surface and making it look worn-out. Laminate floors are very stylish and bring a certain feel in a home, therefore, we should do our best to take care of them.
Of course, if you spill something you should immediately clean it.
How to clean laminate floors?
Start with vacuuming. You should vacuum your hard flooring on a daily basis. That way you will remove all of the dirt and dust accumulated through the day.
Please, when you are cleaning your laminate floors don’t use brooms.
Then choose a cleaning detergent to use. I am definitely not going to tell you that you should pick some expensive floor cleaner because if I have to be honest they don’t always perform as well as expected. Instead, you can make your own solution by mixing vinegar and rubbing alcohol.
Please, keep in mind that less is more. Using more cleaning detergent won’t clean the floor better. It will leave a residue behind which is not something you want.
Reduce using water. Water can cause swelling which will damage your flooring, therefore, try to reduce using it to a minimum.
